Comic Book Hero Week!
To mark Daredevil's release, we go Comic Book mad!
Added 09 Feb 2003 by Scott Morris@theoneliner.com

Seeing as anyone in the vicinity of a multiplex in recent times can't possibly have failed to notice the hype manufactured in front of the launch of Daredevil this Friday, we at theOneliner.com have decided to do a little feature to get you all in that superhero kerpow-wham! kind of mood.

Daredevil's going to have to go some to beat the quality of the last major comic book adaptation, Spiderman and also to outstrip it's box office. We'll be reviewing Spidey's outing so you all will have a nice basis for comparison with our Daredevil review, due on Friday, acts of God withstanding.

But it doesn't end there. The rash of adaptations kicked off due to the phenomenal success of X-Men, and we'll be having a look at that. For a look at stylish and just plain fun use of a comic license, we'll examine the Blade franchise for you, and for a look at how things can go quite badly wrong in the jump from page to screen we'll pop Tank Girl and Spawn under the microscope. You could say that the granddaddy of them all is Superman, and darned if we won't look at that too.

This is just a drop in the ocean of adaptations, with yet more upcoming over the next year, including The Incredible Hulk and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. We'll have a look at what's definitely coming your way, and what is currently rumoured to be in the works.

So, don your lycra jumpsuits and prepare to leap tall buildings with a single bound, as we enter Comic Book Hero week on theOneliner.com! We'll keep this page updated with links to stuff as and when it's posted.
